On August 31, 2025, Sony discontinued PlayMemories Camera Apps service. Updating Smart Remote Embedded app in your camera is no longer supported by Sony.
If your camera still uses Smart Remote Embedded app to connect with remote control apps, you will be unable to control exposure or focus settings from Shutter.
If you don’t enjoy Shutter because of this limitation, you can cancel your subscription in the “Support” tab > “Manage Subscription” section, or request a refund.
